Hoffman Estates, IL – October 11, 2007 - Class on Demand, a provider of professional educational products for creative markets, announced today that award-winning instructor Dan Gookin will spearhead the self-paced training DVD series “How To Shoot and Produce”. Upon completion of the series, students will be able to create professional looking packages that capture the memories and moments of important events. “Dan is a joy to work with. His delivery is as much entertaining as it is educational. Within a few minutes users will be creating videos just like the pro’s!”

A 2007 Telly award winner for his Class on Demand title – Windows Vista Made Easy – Gookin is a renowned technology expert and outstanding presenter. The first title in the series “How To Shoot and Produce Your Child’s Sporting Event” will teach non-video professionals how to make a truly memorable movie of a children’s soccer game using the highly popular Apple iMovie or Windows Movie Maker applications. The skills learned through these self-paced training DVDs can be used to create any child’s sporting event.

Subject lessons include; filming the event, transferring and organizing media, editing, simple effects, adding titles, and burning to a DVD or uploading to consumer generated content websites such as You Tube. Each lesson dives deep into the subject matter covering both terminology and application use. Each “How To Shoot and Produce” title will provide students with broadcast quality project files to follow along with the instructor.
