Review
"This is one of the best training DVDs I have ever used. I have been using Illustrator for 3 years, including the newest version CS3 and now CS4 beta and I thought I had a pretty good handle on the program. I even helped some other users on the user forums. I had heard of Sue Jenkins tips and tricks from other users and seen some low rez training sample videos that she had posted to YouTube. When Class on Demand asked me to review this title I decided to invest in my skills as a serious user. I was floored with the techniques and skills I learned with this relatively short 6 hour DVD. I always thought training had to be boring but this is the exception to any other training video I have seen. It is beautifully produced and engaging with instant access to all chapters for review. Jenkins is obviously a pro who has been doing this for awhile. But, she is also a relaxed, confident communicator. She has the ability to explain complex ideas in simple to understand terms. She dicusses and shows the difference between amateur and professional "production polish" and throws in a good dose of professional tips. She explians how the pro's work and make things look so good. I have used these new skills to improve my own production jobs of course, but now I am also producing my church collateral and a number other web and print jobs for pro-bono because I am so much faster now. great. Jenkins has 2 other Class on Demand Titles. "Designers Guide to DreamWeaver" and "Designers Guide to Photoshop". I have not seen them but if they as good as this title, they would be welcomed complimentary tiles to this one. For $80 bucks this video is a heck of a good deal. Thumbs way up! "--Jim McMahon
