What We Know - Now - About Final Cut Pro X
|
|
Apple captured the imagination of the editing community with its "Sneak Peek" of the latest version of Final Cut Pro at the NAB Supermeet in Las Vegas on April 12, 2011. However, that offered only a tantalizing glimpse of the software and many people were not able to attend the event to see it in person.
While we don't yet know all the answers, Apple has provided a roadmap of where they are heading with Final Cut Pro X. In this webinar, Final Cut guru, Larry Jordan, offers useful information to reflect on what Apple has shared so far, so that we can begin to plan how and when to make the conversion to the new version when it becomes available.
NOTE: No, we won't be showing the software - it isn't available. Also, this does not present any material currently covered under an NDA. Instead, this webinar compares what Apple demoed in February and, later, in April. Using screen shots provided by Apple, we'll analyze the interface and features - both highlighted and glossed over - during Apple's presentation. We'll take a closer look at what Apple has said publicly and examine what that might mean for the future. During this discussion, Larry also incorporates what he learned in private conversations with Apple execs after the NAB presentation.
As some have pointed out, there is a similarity in thought and interface between the current version of iMovie and the new version of Final Cut. This webinar illustrates some of the new features demoed by Apple by showing how they currently work in iMovie.
Audience Level
This webinar is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the new version of Final Cut Pro. You do not need to know Final Cut to benefit from this webinar. As the software is not yet released, this provides an analysis of what has been presented so far.
