Class on Demand Report CardNews, views, and information from COD | February 2010 Class on Demand goes "on-demand"
First, let me wish you all a Happy New Year from everyone here at Class on Demand! 2009 was a very productive year for us. Not only did we launch a slew of new titles for the media business, we developed a whole new curriculum for IT professionals. We recently announced this to IT media globally. We have partnered with Versatile Communications, one of the most respected training centers for IT professionals in the country. Versatile wrote the original HP ProCurve training program for HP which has been used to train thousands of IT professionals around the globe. Versatile introduced us to John Lancaster (see focus on John Lancaster below) who is the country’s recognized expert in HP ProCurve/Cisco interoperability training. We jointly developed the new training materials and produced over 10 hours of training divided into logical modules. There has already been tremendous interest from resellers, integrators, consultants and manufacturers for the training who see the course as the first real viable alternative to classroom-based training. The other major investment for the business this past year has been the development of our On Demand delivery platform. We own the best brand in the business for delivering training via the Internet and we’ve been waiting until we felt the content security and flexibility in delivery options would be available to complement our award-winning training. The resulting custom-built streaming video delivery platform is really state-of–the-art. In addition to offering our customers the flexibility to get their COD training via the Internet it offers our distribution partners and resellers a way to seamlessly plug our delivery and commerce platform into their website and maintain the relationship with their customers.
